Despite the season, the dust, dry river banks and cloudless skies, the 2019 Walgett Show will definitely be on this year.
On Saturday and Sunday May 11 and 12, Walgett Showground will be the hub of all the action, with Walgett Shire to be showcased locally and further afield, continuing the tradition with the 81st annual Walgett Show.
Walgett Show is an opportunity for all members of every community across the shire to exhibit, compete in and attend.
Whether you are from Walgett, Lightning Ridge, Collarenebri, Rowena, Burren Junction, Angledool, Carinda, Cryon, Come-By-Chance, Cumborah or Grawin Glengarry Sheepyard Opalfields the show is not to be missed.
Walgett Show Society president Scott White is very pleased with plans well underway to present a show that will cater for all age groups and interests.
"There is no doubt it is a very difficult time for all in the Walgett Shire and in regard to this, the show committee have continued to plan this year's show and at no stage considered not staging the event," Mr Wilde said.
"At the moment, many ideas are being finalised to present a show that will give back to the community.
"Details are close to being announced so keep your eyes and ears open for any information about what will be at the Walgett Show."
More details will be included in the entertainment guide that is available closer to the show weekend.
