Letter to Juliette takes out the Orange Cup for the second year in a row.


For the second year in a row the Garry White, Hawkesbury trained Letter To Juliette has won the day's feature race, The Oriana Orange Gold Cup over 2100m.

The five-year-old brown mare was once again ridden by the Cowra based jockey Mathew Cahill.

The locally trained Absolute Ripper was also a popular winner when taking out the Central West Trailers Cup Day Showcase Sprint over 1000m.

Orange trainer Alison Smith and husband Nathan were all smiles when their six-year-old bay mare and Mudgee-based jockey Anthony Cavallo crossed the line ahead of the Richard Freedman trained Latin Boy.

Fashion in the field judges, Espen Harbitz, Kellie Ferguson and Renee Horton from The Oriana, Orange, named Michelle Gosling from Brisbane as the best dressed lady and Daniel Anderson also from Brisbane the best dressed gent.
