Situated approximately 70 kilometres west of Goondiwindi and 25km south of Toobeah, Coomonga is being offered via expressions of interest and has a lot to offer with solid annual rainfall and river frontage.
At present 1,600 ha is farmed with the remaining 435 ha mostly semi-open grazing, gullies and river grazing.
Approximately 420ha is flood protected farming country.
The country is all generally level uniform grey black friable cracking clay loams.
There is the odd higher red brown area scattered through.
They are predominantly all good quality and suit the cultivation of most summer and winter crops, including cotton.
Dryland cotton has been successfully grown at Coomonga.
Currently there is 200ha of oats planted.
The remainder of the property is sorghum and dryland cotton from the 2018/19 summer.
The country is typical grey flood out type country which is subject to inundation in times of minor flood events.
Annual rainfall averaging approximately 550mm is supplemented by a solar pump distributing water out of the McIntyre for stock and house use.
Part of the charm of Coomonga is its proximity to facilities with Goondiwindi providing all major social and economic needs for the area.
Grain handling facilities and minor needs are catered for at the village of Toobeah, while silos are also situated at Bungunya, approximately 45km east of Coomonga.
