Animal handling manufacturing companies have been very limited in their offerings to date by what is known as a 'model by model' approach with fixed features to a price model.
For the buyer this means a risk that either the equipment is under or over specifications to purpose.
"Often when the unit is on farm its to late to change and you have to live with it until you replace it," a company spokesman said.
