The Winona Kelpies was first registered as a stud in 1974 and according to a company spokesman, has rapidly grown into one of the largest and most successful breeders of working dogs in the world.
They are used extensively in all states of Australia.
However, they are also recognised for their qualities internationally and are exported to countries such as Holland, Norway, Chile, USA, Canada, and Ireland.
Although Kelpies have been bred for more than 130 years for working sheep, the versatility of the Winona dogs can be seen in the diversity of stock they are working
They are used on many different types of animals from deer, pigs, and cattle as well as sheep in many countries the world over.
Winona Kelpies will again be at the AgQuip Field days, in the south-east corner of the field day site.
This year Winona will have some of the studs dogs and started pups working sheep, as well as a variety of started dogs and pups for sale.
