A lot at the BCAA Alpaca Auction held at the Goulburn Showgrounds has secured an excellent price of $34000.

Topping the sale was EP Cambridge Voyager, a dark fawn male.
The Huacaya was purchased by the Yaringa and Kobler Studs of Yankalilla, South Australia.
It was one of the animals offered by 25 studs from Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
While the top price was $34000, the 53 lots resulted in an average of $2881.
EP Cambridge, Oakbank SA, also sold the next highest priced lot - EP Cambridge Enlightened.
The white female went for $10000 to Non Sibi Holdings, Hindmarsh Tiers, SA.
EP Cambridge averaged $7417 for their six females.
Landmark agent Wilson Beer said the top animal was the clear standout of the lots.
"He was far and away the standout stud male at the auction," he said.
"EP Cambridge Voyager had performed well at his show outings and therefore garnered a lot of interest.
"He has a very impressive fleece and fleece statistics while also possessing very good body confirmation.
"It was this excellence in fleece and body confirmation which saw him get such a good price.
"The top one to three per cent of animals are very sought after and are not often available."
Other strong sales included Patagonia Stud, Meadow Flat, NSW.
They sold two females with a top of $8500 to the Goldleaf Stud, Torbay, WA. Patagonia averaged $7625 per lot.
