As well as offering fun and exciting things to do and see, rural shows provide a great opportunity to get together with the larger community.
Highly anticipated, shows are much more than just rides and showbags, they are an opportunity to showcase produce and livestock for the whole community to see.
Carcoar Show will be held on October 26, with organisers encouraging everyone to 'be part of the best little show in the country'.
It will showcase horses, cattle, sports shearing, woodchop, and prime lambs.
Pavilion exhibits will include produce, art, craft, photography and flowers.
There will also be plenty of entertainment with John Clarke's Petting Zoo, World's Best Gold Panner, The Balancing Man, a comedy stage show and live music.
The 134th North Coast National Show will be held from October 17 to 19 and will feature the largest beef show outside the Sydney Royal with over 106 led steer entries.
There will also be a $10,000 woodchop competition including the NSW State Championship Tree Felling Competition.
The year's show will see both Dog Dogs and The Crack Up Sisters make an entertaining return.
Other highlights will include monster trucks and fireworks every night of the show, Rodeo Spectacular and Top Bands headline final night, and the Betta Home Living Trick FMX riders every day and night.
The Bangalow Show on November 15 and 16, will feature a full horse program including Australian Stock horses, show jumping, heavy horse and campdraft events.
Judging competitions will include beef and dairy cattle, poultry and caged birds, and as always there will be a fabulous display in the pavilion.
Entertainment for the whole family includes the boot toss, shopping relay for the kids, equine musical chairs, the dog high jump and more.
There will be Arborist tree climbing displays at 11am and 1pm with a head-to-head open crane ascent in the main ring at 7pm.
Reptile and baby animal displays throughout the weekend will keep the kids happy while the Aussie FMX team will thrill the crowd before a spectacular fireworks display at 8:30pm.
Bulahdelah Show is promising lots of fun for the whole family on November 15 and 16, culminating in an amazing fireworks display on the Saturday night.
The fireworks will follow what is sure to be a lot of fun with the demolition derby.
Friday night will also be full of excitement with a rodeo from 7pm.
There will be plenty for the animal lover with a full horse program, working dog trials, championship dog show, beef cattle, show jumping, campdrafts, animal nursery, pet show, miniature goats, rare breed poultry, and a display by the Mounted Police.
