With that in mind, it is introducing the Hardwood Mills Portable Band Saw Sawmill - the GT34.
"The GT34 has a revolutionary deep gullet to enable you to cut 457 millimetres (18 inches) in depth," a company spokesman said.
"It is perfect for quarter sawing and also gives you the ability to leave your slabs on top and just keep milling.
"The GT34 takes a 863mm (34in) diameter log and your widest board width is 660mm (26in).
"Powered by a 18 horsepower, V Twin engine, with six meters of track, the GT34 is a beast!
"It features a fitted bi-metal blade so you can mill Ironbark, Box, and all the Australian hardwoods as well as exotic timbers.
"The beauty of using a band saw is the diversity.
"You can mill all dimensional timbers such as '4 x 2s', beams, re-saw millimetre perfect laminates as well as slabs.
"Another bonus of using a band saw is you get very little wastage due to the thin kerf of the blade (1.85mm).
"The GT34 also has a trailer package available so it is fully portable.
"Band saw sawmills are preferred by fine furniture makers because of the very smooth finish.
"For portable sawmills, the only choice is Hardwood Mills Australia - designed for Australian Hardwoods."
