The Glove Box Guide launches at Agrestic Grocer

Dignitaries, local service people and clinicians gathered at the venue to enjoy a low-key evening of music and food to celebrate.

NSW Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women, Bronnie Taylor gave a warm address via video link from Parliament House.

The Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health director, Professor David Perkins, and The Land editor Andrew Norris spoke of the success of the guide over the past eight years and the need for more work to be done in suicide prevention.

Central West region Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) co-ordinator Di Gill, who has been at the centre for almost 13 years, told of how useful the guide is during her work in the community.

And Department of Primary Industries Rural Resilience worker James Cleaver said people often made a beeline for the guide at events.

Today RAMHP program manager Tessa Caton and Mr Norris told Nine Orange of the benefits of the guide to the people of rural and regional NSW, particularly when the state is in such a grip of drought and there are so many useful resources in the guide.
