Top price for 2018-drop Merino ewes was $285 paid for 276 Willandra-blood ewes on account Mark and Fiona Wettenhall, Cara, Jerilderie when bought by interests from Shepparton, Victoria.
In the Dohne offering, Tom Holt, Coonong, Urana sold 305 2017-drop, September-shorn ewes, Calga/DD-blood and depastured to Trigger Vale White Suffolk rams for $230 to Ballarat, Vic restocker.
Merino wether lambs sold to $141 for 281 Caroonboon-blood May/June 2019 drop and unshorn on account Innesvale Past Co.
Older Merino ewe sale included 316 June/July 2014-drop, August-shorn and Caroonboon-blood sold for $201 by Amaroo; and $214 for 195 May/June 2014-drop, August-shorn and Alma-blood on account Beaulinga.
Auctioneer Nick Gray, Elders Jerilderie quoted the market as very solid throughout the entire yarding.
"It was very strong sale in a tough season," he said.
"Young ewes sold to expectation, it was a very good sale for mature ewes and the lambs also sold to expectation."
