It was the second year the event has been held, it's aim to bring the community together during drought and raise money to help the town's financial counsellor support those doing it tough.
The event included a lamb competition, with 17 lambs donated by local producers and judged on the hoof, hook and taste throughout the week leading up to the event. Merino lambs entered by Brad Hart of Hart Pastoral were the overall winners.
The lambs entered were served at the dinner, showcasing the district's produce.
Former AFL footballer, Peter "Spida" Everitt was the guest speaker at the event, while Elders' Col Fisher reminded everyone of the importance of taking care of each other during drought and to keep checking in with friends, family and neighbours.
The event raised $10,000 to go towards vouchers for local shops, to be given out by Lachlan Community Services and Lake Cargelligo's financial counsellor Linda McLean.
