Soybean growers on the Northern Rivers will get the chance to hear the latest industry updates during a series of meetings hoisted by DPI, GRDC and CSIRO early next week.
Beginning with breakfast and discussion at Harwood hall on the Lower Clarence, 7.30am on Tuesday November 19 the "roadshow" will be followed by lunch at Casino RSM club at 12.30pm.
On Wednesday, November 20 there will be a breakfast meeting at Dungarubba Hall near Broadwater on the Richmond followed by lunch at Grippo's shed, Condong, on the Tweed.
Soybean researcher Dr Natalie Moore from DPI's facility near Grafton will talk about varieties and sowing times.
Agronomists will talk about nutrition, weed control and integrated pest management while organiser Nathan Ensby, DPI, will brief growers about issues affecting coastal growers, particularly those dealing with heavy clay soils and what can be done to assist.
