At the first National Renewables in Agriculture conference to be held in Australia, not quite 300 people turned up in Wagga Wagga to hear about the latest opportunities for renewable energy generation and profit thereof.

Convened by Karin Stark, farmer from Narromine and NSW-ACT Agriculture's Rural Women Award Finalist in 2019 for her work in promoting the use of renewable energy on farm, landholders and industry specialists came from all over the country to listen to an exciting panel who addressed a multiple of issues concerning the potential of renewable energy to replace our traditional reliance on fossil fuel.
Among the many key note speakers Professor Ken Baldwin, Director, Energy Change Institute,at the ANU, Canberra spoke on the Australian Renewable Energy Revolution; Alisdair Tulloch, winemaker with Keith Tullock Winery, Pokolbin who addressed the benefits of an energy efficient and carbon neutral winery and Dr Neil Thomson, Adjunct Professor, QUT Institute for Future Environments who introduced the latest developments on Hydrogen Energy Systems for Agribusiness.
In closing the conference, Karin Stark paid tribute to the many people who assisted with the organisation and the business which supported the event which attracted 288 visitors.
"That really demonstrates the interest there is in the agricultural sector in renewables," Ms Stark said.
