As well as fencing, AI equipment, ID tags and accessories, and calf care, Coopers Farm Gear also supply CopRice bulk stockfeed.
CopRice's Coleambally mill has a range of flexible options designed to complement on-farm resources or provide a complete blend to suit livestock requirements.
CopRice Coleambally use a range of locally sourced by-products including, almond hulls, grape pomace and cottonseed meal along with cracked lupins, maize and barley that are blended with their VitaMinBuf range of concentrates.
Almond hulls are the outside skin of the almond fruit, similar to the fleshy portion of a peach, and also contain some of the shell for human consumption.
There are many varieties of almonds and the shell thickness can vary from paper-like to a couple of millimeters thick.
There are a source of fibre for both sheep and cattle.
Grape Pomace Meal includes the skins, pulp, stems and leaves minus the grapeseed which is used for oil production.
It is dehydrated and ground, providing energy from fat and fibre as well as supplying protein.
CopRice Coleambally can provide a blend to match on-farm resources to optimise the performance of livestock.
Utilising the knowledge of CopRice nutritionists, they can design a Flexiblend to suit a specific circumstance.
Grain Free blends to maximise marketing options for cattle are also available.
Mr Cooper said they were there to work with farmers to get the best results.
"Some of the stories about the drought are horrendous and we started Cooper Farm Gear to have the flexibility to help farmers get through this very trying time," he said.
"We work with farmers, with what resources they already have on farm, to help them early wean their sheep and cattle.
"We also provide whole rations to finish lambs off in the feedlot.
"Coopers Farm Gear have value adding products using old spec barley which increases protein in the lamb feedlot."
While still in its infancy, Mr Cooper said Coopers Farm Gear is going from strength-to-strength.
"We are open for business to help farmers," he said.
"We have free access to nutritionists and are confident we can provide a feed solution to help.
"We offer delayed payment and 12 month terms to help producers get a load of feed out when they need it.
"A load of feed gets out to the farmer in five to seven days, delivering to Queensland, Victoria and NSW.
"We work with two transport companies to get the best deal and are not making anything on deliveries.
"Coopers Farm Gear and some nutritionists are also developing an app with how much and which feed to use, to help streamline everything."
