A group of 78 producers and agriculture leaders have combined to raise $94,891 for mens' health as part of the Stud Mos team in this year's Movember fundraiser.
Through donations and an online auction worth $30,105, the team became the second highest fundraisers in the country from 13,804 teams.
Among the NSW representatives on the team were Andrew 'Paffy' Paff of Born Ready Speckle Park Cattle who raised $3579 alone and Ross Thompson, Millah Murrah Angus, Bathurst, who raised $2525 after emailing close friends to support the cause.
It was Mr Thompson's debut appearance in Movember and while the growth on his face wasn't popular with his daughter and wife, all agreed it was a wonderful way to bring attention to mens' health.
He said it was pleasing to see both men and women involved in the fundraiser.
"It's a hard time in the bush at the minute and I think we felt a camaraderie and enthusiasm for (Stud Mos) this year," he said.
"You could sense there was a lot of enthusiasm from people in the same industry so I think that was a lovely aspect."
Landmark Stud Stock merino specialist Brad 'Bull' Wilson raised $900 in what was his return to Movember for the first time in eight or nine years.
Clients supported him from as far as southern NSW and through to Queensland, highlighting the support from rural communities.
"The reason I did it was to do with this dry time to raise a bit of awareness for everybody for mental health as well as just a general reminder for men to go and get a check up," he said.
"If you need a chat, there are plenty of ears to chat to and willing to listen."
The team also included NSW representatives such as Jim McWilliam of Kanimbla Poll Herefords, Brayden Gilmore of Baringa stud, Jack Laurie of Breeder Genetics, Lockie and Kim Falls of Falls Livestock Transport, Scott Mitchell of Rene stud, Lane Evans of Nabiac Shorthorns, Justin Dickens of JAD Speckle Park, Josh Crosby of Crosbys Angus, Ben Prentice of Kurralea Poll Dorsets and White Suffolks, Matt Cherry of Trio Angus, Stuart Hobbs of Hobbs Livestock, Ted Laurie of Knowla Livestock, James Gilmore of Tattykeel studs, Joel Fleming of Landmark, Joel Trim of The Wilgas Simmentals, Paul Powe of Goondoola and Paul Jameson of Elders Stud Stock.
The team was organised by Struan and Mon Pearce and Lincoln McKinlay.
