Rocky Glen boy Linden Raaen has hit the jackpot in Las Vegas, winning the 12 to 13-year-old World Champion Mini Bull Rider recently.
Ranked third in the Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Association junior all round cowboy and second in the junior steer ride 11 to under 14-year-old, Linden traveled alongside his family to compete in the Junior Rough Stock World Finals event.
Linden proved he can perform in the saddle and also placed third in the junior saddle bronc event.
"It's a big responsibility being the champion, representing your country and your family in the sport of rodeo," he said.
The win was topped off by a chance meeting with Linden's idol and five time bull riding champion, Sage Kimzey.
The ABCRA National Finals will be held in Tamworth from January 24 to 25.
