PRECIOUS few stones will be left unturned to ensure Australia welcomes all and sundry to the World Angus Forum 2021 in Sydney.
The two-week long forum will be held from late April to early May.
Confirmed four years ago in Mazatlan, Mexico, as the 2021 host nation, Australia promises to bring the global Angus community together for a fortnight of information exchange, learning and networking.
At the time of Australia's confirmation by the World Angus Secretariat, which included delegates from UK, USA, Canada, Germany, NZ and Brazil, Angus Australia's then president Hugh Munro said the country would be honoured by the decision.
"Hosting of the forum in Australia will be a fitting way to celebrate 100 years of the existence of the Angus Society of Australia (Angus Australia) which will occur in 2019," he said at the time.
The Sydney forum will open with a welcome function, followed by tours through the central west of NSW when various Angus properties and some of the best-known food and wine regions will be on show.
The main event will comprise a technical forum in Canberra where organisers say delegates will be "privy to all things Angus here and abroad" as well as examining future technologies emerging in agribusiness.

After the forum, tours will resume, this time from Toowoomba in south-east Queensland to Rockhampton in the central part of the state. Delegates will see the northern beef-producing region up close and personal, and the tour will conclude in time for Beef Australia 2021, the southern hemisphere's largest beef exposition.
Angus Australia has put together a consultative committee led by Mark Gubbins, Coolana Angus, Victoria. His committee includes Libby Creek, past president of Angus Australia; Mike Gadd, Glen Pastoral Co, and Sam White, Bald Blair, Guyra.
Mr Gubbins said the World Angus Forum would be an "excellent opportunity" for producers to come together to discuss the breed.
As part of the forum program, there will be an elite international online embryo sale with money raised to help young breeders attend and participate in the next world forum.
As well there will be a World Angus Forum 2021 Youth contest in which participants, aged 18 to 25, will be involved in public speaking, cattle assessment, cattle preparation and handling, a young farmers challenge, team topic presentations and team building activities.
Organisers forecast up to 600 industry representatives from around the world will descend on Sydney. Australia previously hosted the world forum in 1997.
