The scholarship, now in its ninth year aims to promote hands on experience for young people in the industry, while honouring the late Peter Westblade.
Murray Smith, Harden and Brodie Carpenter, Swansea, Tasmania were awarded the scholarship recipients this year.
Mr Smith has completed a stock and station agent traineeship in the Northern Territory, worked for a Poll Dorset stud in Coolac and is currently with Romani Pastoral Company.
Mr Carpenter is a full-time shearer and is leasing properties for his superfine Merino and prime lamb operation. He has hopes to buy his own farm and run the largest shearing contracting in Tasmania one day.
