Two separate fires on New Year's Eve ripped through Tom and Joscelin McMillan's two leased farms at Bemboka and Quaama, NSW.
Instead of letting it get them down, Tom and Joscelin came up with an idea to raise money to rebuild and support their stockists as well.
The community-minded couple have now raised more than $60000 as well as donate much needed eggs to their bushfire affected region.
Bega Valley Eggs has 35 stockists on the NSW South Coast, and every business they supply has been affected by the devastating fires.
"We were in a real pickle," Joscelin said.
"The idea for the fundraiser came after we were told we weren't eligible for government grants.
"We could also see the situation our stockists were in and wanted to help them too.
"The fundraiser was set up so that people could donate a dozen 'eggs' with profits split 50-50 between our business and our stockists.
"So far, more than 6000 cartons of 'eggs' have been donated.
"It was a great way to pay the support we were being given forward."
The fundraiser was launched at the start of January and has had staggering support both nationally and internationally.
"Through social media, the fundraiser reached people throughout the world who wanted to help," Joscelin said.
"We don't have a big social media presence, but the first post about the fundraiser had 280000 views.
"People from the UK, USA and Europe wanted to help.
"It has gotten so much bigger than we ever expected."
Bega Valley Eggs donations also help the McMillians to support local families via charities.
