Productivity key to buying first self-propelled sprayer

Initially their interest was the larger capacity Goldacres G6 Crop Cruiser with a 30 metre boom.

However, the investment outweighed the budget on the couples mixed farming program of 2500 hectares cropping.

"I spoke to Andrew and Melissa and suggested they consider a Goldacres G4 Crop Cruiser with 4000 litre tank and a 30m TriTech boom," Goldacres product specialist Jason Rodda said.

"The imported second-hand sprayers they were also looking at had a 4500L tank and offered no boom re-circulation or spray technology".

Mr Rodda said the G4 Crop Cruiser would provide them with similar productivity to the G6.

They were still getting all the benefits of fuel economy, mechanical drive, and the TriTech boom with RapidFire, RapidFlow (boom re-circulation) and 3TS.

Those features were along with the other unique benefits that Goldacres offers its customers without the additional investment.

Greg Baird of Agserve Goomalling quoted a G4 Crop Cruiser for Andrew and Melissa and kept in mind the level of investment required so they could purchase their first self-propelled sprayer.

Mr Baird also demonstrated the cost of ownership, scheduled maintenance, Agserve dealer support and Goldacres backup.

He also demonstrated that when using a batching system, how much more efficient and productive they would be in comparison to their current trailing sprayer.
