Meanwhile, an extra five per cent general security allocation was announced for the NSW Murray, bringing the total allocation to eight per cent.
The increases in allocation were due to significant inflows to the storages, in particular Murrumbidgee storage Burrinjuck Dam, which had its levels raised by 23pc in a week, moving from 47pc full on August 6 to 70pc full on August 13.
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment's (DPIE) latest allocation statement for the Murrumbidgee, released today, stated the valley's resources had been boosted by 300,000 megalitres since the last assessment at the end of July.
The huge inflows, which according to Water NSW's Water Live app, peaked at 101,829 ML per day for Burrinjuck on August 9, mean the Murrumbidgee storages are 58pc higher than this time last year.
The Murrumbidgee River above Burrinjuck Dam returned to minor flood levels yesterday following more rain in the Yass region.
NSW Murray resources improved by a more modest 105,000 megalitres (ML) since the last assessment at the end of July, with Hume Dam rising to 54pc full.
Total NSW Murray resources are now sitting at 1020 gigaltres, up from 720GL this time last year.
The Lower Darling's general security allocation remains unchanged, sitting on 30 per cent.
The DPIE NSW Murray and Lower Darling allocation statement said the Menindee Lakes system was currently 27pc full, holding around 460,000 ML.
"The Lower Darling is administratively disconnected from the Murray, therefore, the resources in the Menindee Lakes system are being managed by NSW to meet Lower Darling needs only," it stated.
"The system is being operated with minimum releases to maximise longevity of supply and is expected to slowly deplete without further inflows."
Lachlan Valley storage Wyangala Dam has increased by 16pc in a week, moving from 24pc full on August 8 to 40pc of August 15.
Lachlan Valley water users general security allocation is currently at zero, with the next announcement due on September 8.
