The wind didn't blow away the crowd at the first annual Hazeldean Angus sale at Tamworth on Wednesday.

The sale was a solid success with ten bulls at the front of the catalogue all selling above $10,000.
The bulls arrived from Cooma on Tuesday, fresh and ready to work.
Two bulls sold for the top price of $15,000 with an average of $10,000 and a clearance of 100 per cent of the 50 bulls on offer.
The second bull in the ring was the first bull to secure top price, Hazeldean P506 a son of EF Complement who weighed in at 858 kilograms.
The 24-month-old was in the top 5 pc for calving ease daughters and mature weight.
The bull was secured by Geoff and Sarah Day or Pitcalnie, Walcha for their commercial Angus program, this was the first time they had bought from Hazeldean as an outcross for their current herd.
The second bull to secure the $15,000 top price was 23-month-old Hazeldean P1258 who weighed in at 850 kg.
The Hazeldean M586 son was in the top 5 pc for direct calving ease and calving ease daughters, milk, carcase weight, and all indexes.
Stud principal Bea Bradley Litchfield was extremely happy with the solid result of the sale and will return next year with a new draft of bulls for the region.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Ag solutions with Joel Fleming as auctioneer.
