PARKES based stock and station agency Langlands Hanlon has joined the growing livestock and property agency network, AWN.

Operating out of the same office for more than 80 years, Langlands Hanlon provide the Central West region with a wide range of livestock services from weekly sheep and cattle sales at the Central West Livestock Exchange at Forbes and the Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange near Carcoar, to AuctionsPlus and over-the-hook as well as private on-farm trading.

Langlands Hanlon also manage and strategically market rural and residential properties.

Licensee and auctioneer Geoff Rice and real estate manager Renee Rice bought the Langlands Hanlon business in 2004.

Mr Rice has more than 20 years experience in the industry and said he was excited for the future.

"It is fantastic to be able to take this next step with somebody that we absolutely trust," he said.

"This venture will provide more opportunities for our clients and give us an expanded network of staff."

AWN chief operating officer Rick Maybury said the business, which will be known as AWN Langlands Hanlon, will give clients access to a network of agents and selling centres across the country.

"I am pleased to announce that the Langlands Hanlon team will be joining AWN's growing livestock and property agency network," Mr Maybury said.

"The Langlands Hanlon team are extremely well-regarded in the region.

"Their client-first approach and focus on delivering the best results aligns with AWN's philosophy, making this a great fit for both teams and for clients.

"The region is a key area for livestock clients, and we are looking forward to supporting more clients across central NSW."

Renowned for its customer-focused approach, he said the Langlands Hanlon team were passionate about delivering real outcomes for clients.

AWN is Australia's largest independent wool broker and has undertaken a rapid expansion of its livestock and property footprint across Australia in recent months.

This included the acquisition of another successful livestock business and the establishment of two greenfields sites, one in Victoria and the other in Western Australia.
