WHILE the weather was a bit too chilly for some last Sunday it did not stop the Bathurst locals who had purchased the limited tickets to this year's Bathurst Gold Cup Meeting from making the most of having a day out at the races.
The Nick Olive, Canberra-trained Pecuniary Interest won the day's feature race with Irish born jockey Ellen Hennessy aboard.
While Albury trainer John Whitelaw was jumping for joy when his horse The Doctor's Son hit the winning line ahead of the locally trained and crowd favourite Worldly Pleasure in the $80,000 Panorama Sprint over 1300 metres.
