A SOLE entry in the Belted Galloway ring had all the foundations to make a great sire, according to judge Renae Keith of Allenae Angus and Poll Herefords, Roslyn.
Shown at only 11 months of age Benvuie Leith exhibited by Gregory Stuart of Benvuie stud, Yass, won junior and grand champion bull, as well as supreme exhibit of the section.
Mrs Keith said it was a shame there was no competition for the son of Marananga Hamish out of Marananga Lark, who still had a lot of growing to do.
"He has the head, neck extension and outlook of a sire... and all the foundations he needs to be a good bull," she said.
