Breed judge, Rene Keith, Allenae Angus and Poll Herefords, Roslyn, assisted in the ring by associate judge Emily Polsen, Yass, first mentioned she was impressed with exhibits when two females presented in the 14 to 20 months class last weekend.
"The heifer placed first was a clear winner, we could see this as she first walked into the ring," Mrs Keith said.
Mrs Keith said when she looked at the champion heifer, she could see she was an outstanding package.
This was Summit Charisma Q1 by Mr Ishees Catalyst shown by Hayden and Jasmine Green and their six-month-old son, Arthur, Summit stud, Uranquinty.
Reserve junior champion female was VC Lucy !024, by MRL Missile 138C, shown by Blue Gene Cattle Company, Parkville.
A lone entrant in the bull section winning the 20 tan not over 30 months class to take out senior championship was Tennysonvale Qikado by Tennysonvale Merv and from Banana Mikado, shown by the Maclure family, Tennysonvale stud, Tarcutta.
However, the judges selected the female as their supreme exhibit Ms Polsen saying she had the depth and capacity they were looking for.
"She has good udder development and we feel she gets around the ring on a smooth set of feet and legs."
