THE talent of Australia's young auctioneers - both NSW and national finalists - will be on show around the country when the competition is livestreamed online.
The Land is livestreaming the entire competition from the Sydney Royal Show Big Top Amphitheatre on April 1, beginning at 11am.
Bulahdelah-based business Wild Colt Productions, will host a webcast of the event, which will feature every run from the 10 NSW and 16 national finalists who have qualified for the event through state competitions.
This year's event features more national finalists than usual as the national final wasn't held in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Restrictions will be in place for Sydney Royal, which will limit audience numbers on-site, making the livestream even more important this year.
All the action will be livestreamed to The Land's website, as well as The Land and rma Facebook pages, and footage will be archived so it can be re-watched at any time.
All the results and wrap up interviews with the winners will also be available on the website following the competition.
The popularity of the livestream, which is sponsored by the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association, rma (Rural Marketing Agencies network), and the Wagga Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre, continues to grow each year, and the quality also gets better as techonology and mobile coverage improves.
The most recent Sydney Royal livestream, held in 2019, was watched by 25,554 unique viewers from nine countries across the masthead's web and social media platforms, and a further 15,000 people watched the free event re-wind.
ACM business development manager - studstock, Kirra Kelly, said livestreaming the event expanded the audience.
"The livestream allows those who can't attend to watch all the action live, especially when COVID-19 has restricted the number of people who can physically attend," Mrs Kelly said.
The Land will livestream the cattle judging through BLive, with Simmentals on April 1, Santa Gertrudis and Limousin on April 2, Angus, Murray Grey and Charolais on April 3 and the interbreed classes on April 4. This livestream is sponsored by Coopers Animal Health and BLive.
