Very heavy rainfall in the Gwydir Valley has caused major flooding along the Mehi River.
Major flooding is also occurring along the Gwydir River at Yarraman. Moderate flooding is occurring at Pallamallawa and minor flooding at Gravesend.
The current flood event is the highest since the February 2012 flood event.
The Mehi River at Moree peaked at 10.43 metres around 6:45am Thursday and it the river level was back to 10.27 metres at 2.15pm.
