Top priced steers were Angus produced by NTR Ag Pastoral, the Ridge at The Summit, 351kg for 516c/kg or $1814 going to Neil Crisp, Liston, who will background the steers on grass for the next 12 months.
Late drop milk tooth Angus weaner calves with Inglebrae blood, 388kg, topping the sale for Barry Edwards, Liston, with a bid of 458 cents kilogram or $1777 a head.
Cattle sold mainly to the northern Tablelands and as far west as Goondiwindi, now home for a pen of Angus steers from Ian Mulcahy, Urbenville, 266kg which sold for 628c/kg or $1670/hd.
Dovara at Maryland sold Black baldy steers 255kg at 594c/kg or $1514. They also sold Angus 161kg for 680c/kg or $1094 going to the north west through Nutrien Goondiwindi.
John Arnold, Mount Tully, Qld, sold Angus heifers from first calf cows by Texas bulls, 223kg that made 596c/kg or $1329 going to the Glen Innes district.
Tarcoola Grazing at Urbenville sold EU accredited Angus heifers to the top sale price of $1489 for 280kg at 532c/kg.
Warren and Lexie Harvey, Eukey, sold late calving Angus heifers with Texas blood, some just six months old, 198kg for 550c/kg or $1089 going to the Northern Tablelands.
Black baldy heifers from the Sweet Brothers Yarrabee, 238kg made 508c/kg or $1209.
Amanda Warr, Greenlands, sold Aquitaine/Charolais heifers, born small to grow fast, 170kg for 566c/kg or $962 going to the Inverell district.
