All 45 bulls sold to average $13,288 while eight females topped at $18,000 and averaged $8625.
The top priced bull, a Merawah Highlight E62 son that weighed 700 kilograms at 16 months old called Merawah High Time R012, was knocked down through AuctionsPlus to repeat buyer Marg Lucas, Ashmore Farms, Warrnambool, Victoria for $30,000.
Ms Lucas, a repeat client of Merawah, said the bulls were ideal for her operation.
"Even though I could not be present the bull was selected for his sire appeal, pedigree and figures," she said.
He will be used to breed commercial bulls.
AuctionsPlus secured 11 bulls in total.
A "deep sided easy doing" NJW Endure son, Merawah Enduro Q018, was headed for stud duties after being secured for $18,000 by Hunter Lakes Poll Herefords of Richmond Vale.
Mount Riddock Pastoral from Alice Springs secured eight bulls to average $14,628.
Purchaser Tim McKean said for 30 years they had been buying from Merawah due to the bulls' growth, weight for age and do ability in their harsh climate.
"The Merawah bulls not only survive but thrive and that's why we keep coming back," he said.
John and Dianne Thorn of Thorn Estates Pty Ltd, Bungunya, Queensland secured four sires to a top of $18,000 and an average of $13,000.
For 56 years they had been purchasing Merawah genetics to join to there 300 head commercial herd.
The bulls bought on the day would be used to produce calves that will be sold to the feedlot.
CA Flower, Garrabarra, Roma successfully bought four bulls to a top of $20,000 and average of $17,500.
The Hill family, Goorarooman, Thallon, Queensland secured four bulls also to a top of $12,000 and an average of $10,500.
The top priced cow, Merawah Minerva L63, was secured by Nova Poll Herefords, Tasmania.
Vendor Andrew Mackay said he was thrilled with the results of the sale.
"The demand for bulls with power and weight for age was evident today," he said.
"The bulls are ready to go straight to work and came up very well as a great even line."
The sale was conducted by Elders Goondiwindi with guest auctioneer Paul Dooley controlling the bids.
