SNOW and wet conditions did not deter buyers from flocking to Glenmorgan Angus' annual bull sale on Tuesday afternoon in the hopes of taking home one of the 80 bulls on offer.
Buyers from across the state braved the conditions at the on-property sale at Llangothlin while many more followed the sale online via AuctionsPlus.
All 80 of the bulls offered by the Morgan were snapped up at an average of $9890.
However, it was Glenmorgan Enhance Man R107 that stole the show, topping the sale at $24,000 when he was knocked down to Gary Dalton, Cremgold Pty Ltd, Tyalgum.
The 17-month-old son of Sydgen Enhance and out of Glenmorgan Klooney Lady M317 was in the top 10 per cent of the breed for 200,400 and 600-day growth weight, feed efficiency and carcase weight, as well as the top 20pc for scrotal size.

Stock agent buying the bull on Mr Dalton's behalf, Blake O'Reilly, Ray White Rural, Guyra and Armidale, said the bull would fit right into Mr Dalton's northern NSW operation.
"Gary breeds a self-replacing Angus commercial herd in Tyalgum northern NSW, where docility, slick skin and fertility takes priority when selecting a new sire to retain self-replacing females," Mr O'Reilly told The Land.
"Breeding Angus cattle in the Northern Rivers, where they are at the forefront of the Angus industry in an area where Bos Indicus and Brahman are more common and slick skin is a priority given climate conditions of dealing with buffalo fly and cattle tick.
"So this bull was the perfect fit because he was good in the scrotal, was an early maturing bull, had a moderate frame, good growth and of course, that slick skin."
Glenmorgan Angus stud principal Nicholas Morgan echoed Mr O'Reilly's sentiments saying the bull was a true standout with a great temperament.
"I think he had quite a few things going for him like nature, stretch and he's out of the Enhance bull which topped the sale last year and a Millah Murrah line of cows, who in my opinion, are the leaders in Australia," Mr Morgan said.
"He is just an easy-doing bull with a good nature and good skin type as well."
However, this year's average of $9890 and top of $24,000 was well up on last year's average of $7758 and top of $16,000.
Helping spur on the success were volume buyers such as the Wyatt family, Walcha, six bulls at an average of $7833, JDW Enterprises, Tenterfield, three bulls at an average of $12,666 and Cobrabald Pastoral Company, Walcha, two bulls at an average of $11,000.
"This year's results certainly blew last year's right out of the water and it was fantastic to see some new people come along, but what I love to see is people who have bought before looking for more cattle to add to their numbers," Mr Morgan said.
"I think it was also good to see bulls going for as high as $24,000 but also to see plenty going from $6000-$8000 because it gives everyone opportunity to get some more bulls out in their paddocks.
"It was also very exciting to see new and repeat buyers from places like Dalby, Roma and Emerald take part in the sale online."
Tuesday's live-auction sale was conducted by Ray White Rural, Armidale and Guyra with Paul Dooley, Tamworth, auctioneering.
