It's the race that stops the nation and plenty of local punters chose the Tamworth Jockey Club to perch up and watch the Melbourne Cup.
A capacity crowd of double vaccinated punters flocked trackside to show off their finest suits, dresses and fascinators, with the traditional fashions in the field competition in full swing.
When the clock struck 3pm, all eyes turned to the big screen for the running of the 161st Melbourne Cup.
