While there were plenty of buyers and vendors at the sale on Thursday, there were also numerous local cattle producers keen to inspect the runs of cattle carrying a range of beef bloodlines.
The sale results were solid although not as red-hot as the top of the market the day prior.
Genuine Angus weaner steers averaged $2300 to $2400 reaching a top of $2540 during the second day of new year weaner sales at Wodonga this week.

In other sales, grown Angus-cross steers sold to $2900 and heavy Hereford to $2830.
Among the heifers, Angus reached $2680 while a thin Hereford offering topped at $1950 and composites to $2170.
