It's been eight years since much loved cricketer Phillip Hughes passed away but his legacy lived on at Macksville Show.
The stud he started Four O Eight Angus took out the supreme champion beef animal of the show on Saturday - and his parents Greg and Virginia Hughes could not be prouder.
With tears in his eyes, Mr Hughes said: 'this is our home, this is where it all started and we are continuing Phillip's legacy, he would be proud."
"He loved his cattle, he took us all into it in his life, now our daughter Megan is taking it on.
"We've got it going really good and this win is extra special at home.
"Locals look as they drive past every day and we are showing them what we do. It helps our business, which is about selling good bulls.
The supreme beef exhibit Four O Eight Angus Quinton Q64 PV, is a 31-month-old bull weighing 782 kilograms, whose by bull Witherswood Performer E49SV and out of Raff Lady Durham E67 PV.
Judge Sam Martin from Walcha said the champion was a long versatile bull that had plenty of depth in body and had one of the best under carriages he had seen in an Angus bull.
"There was plenty of versatility in the shed today, which paints a picture of the cattle industry," Mr Martin said.
"We have seen so many young people here today, so well done to the schools because that's exactly what the industry is about.
"There has never been a better time to be in agriculture as there are so many opportunities."
