
Hillview Herefords and Tyler Angus bull and female sale at Tyringham on Saturday sold to solid bidding with repeat clients dominating the sales and a top price recorded at $16,000.
Of the 22 Hereford bulls 19 sold to a top of $12,500 to average $5790.
Six out of six Hereford heifers topped at $3500 to average $2710.
Of the Angus bulls, all 14 sold to a top of $16,000 to average $11,730.
The two Angus heifers offered topped at $3500 to average $3000.
Volume buyer was repeat client Jarred Schaefer, Wards Mistake, who bought four bulls to average $4000 a head.
Best selling Hereford bull was Hill View Rover R048 by Smithton Fuel Up from a first calf Hill View Juliet.
Repeat buyer Mark Lamond, Eden Creek, will put the bull to Hereford cows with retained heifers bred with Brahman to produce the sought-after first cross breeder.
Greensill Brothers returned to buy two Hereford bulls to a top of $8000 for Hill View Rockie Road R023 by Smithston Fuel Up and will use them to create a Hereford over Brahman cross breeding base.
The Clark family, Shannonbrook paid $5500 for the Hereford Hill View Rupert R035 by Glendan Park Neutron.
Top selling Angus bull Tyler Randle R216 by Alloura Milo went to Coffs Harbour Hardwoods which also runs a herd of Angus managed by Allan Sinclair, with weaners sold through Grafton saleyards.
Next best-selling Angus bull was Tyler Rooster R205 SV by Dance Kingdom N42PV which sold for $14,500 to Shane Warwick, Nulla Nulla, on the Macleay.

Poll Hereford bulls sold to a top of $6500 for Hill View Riverina R017, going to Kevin Ellem, Southgate, while Hill View Romeo R010, went to the vertically-integrated Hyland family, Gladstone via Kempsey, who produce vealer calves for their own butcher shop.
Both bulls were by Mountain Valley Ninja N080.
Purchaser Matt Hyland said the Hereford bull would go over Santa Gertrudis cows from the family's stud, with first cross females kept for breeding while the steers would be grown out, fattened and killed to be sold at the Gladstone Butchery.
Top bids on Hereford heifers sold to $3500 for Hill View Minerva R046 by Glendan Park Neutron going to Jindalee Hereford Stud at Kings Plains. The Minerva matron lineage goes back to a foundation cow that won her class at Sydney for Greg and Kayla Tyler who farm at the top of the Nymboida catchment, west of Dorrigo.
The Helmsman sale was conducted by Donovan Livestock and Property, Grafton, with Auctions Plus.
