The latest information and innovations to support Hereford seedstock and commercial beef producers will be shared at the Herefords Australia Breed Forum to be held from 10am on Tuesday, May 14, at the Wodonga Exhibition Centre.

Herefords Australia chief executive officer, Michael Crowley, said the design of the program, with the theme 'Productivity Driven Sustainability' aims to deliver key takeaways that will allow those in attendance to take their businesses forward
"The forum is open to everyone. We're specifically targeting all commercial and seedstock producers, though we welcome registrations from all beef producers interested in coming along for the day," he said.
The forum will open with Mr Crowley giving a warm welcome to all in attendance. He will then deliver a snapshot of what is and will soon be happening concerning projects, and more for the Hereford breed.
Aggregate Consultings' Sandy McEachern will present on benchmarking profitability in extensive grazing. This section of the forum will delve into the bottom-line benefits of focusing on the cost of production
The spotlight will be shone on agricultural technology, with Optiweighs' Max Laurie and Black Box Co's Edwina Warby to present their findings on the role of data and technology in driving evidence-based productivity outcomes.
Hamish Webb of Precision Pastures will illuminate guests on where to start with carbon farming and how to profit from this rapidly expanding field of interest.
Following a break for lunch, new genetics and genomic technology developments will be on the agenda, with Hamish Chandler from Herefords Australia to discuss sustainability indexes, while while Andrew Byrne from Neogen Australasia will highlight new genomic products.
Jack Ward and Shane Bedwell from the American Hereford Association will share innovations and insights from the US industry relating to ways in which Australian breeders can advance the Hereford breed domestically and internationally.
Jess Loughland from Greenhams will close out the proceedings with a look at the supply chain, and how on-farm quality assurance programs add value to producers and brands. The value of supply chain relationships and predictions of the path ahead.
