A flood watch alert is currently active for many of the region's rivers, with a slow-moving low pressure trough set to deepen later today or Monday, bringing with it heavy rainfall.
Catchments are already wet across the Upper Macintyre, Gwydir, Peel and Namoi River Catchments following the recent rainfall, and this current weather system is expected to cause flooding in these areas from Monday.
The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) issued the warnings based on the Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) forecast.

The Upper Macintyre River is expected to see minor flooding, with the other three river systems minor to moderate flooding.
The NSW SES urge people working or camping along the Upper Macintyre, Gwydir, Peel and Namoi Rivers to monitor river heights and be prepared to relocate to higher ground.
Should flooding develop, those taking to the roads are advised not to drive through floodwater as it may be deep and fast flowing, containing hidden snags and debris.
Driving through floodwater is a major cause of flood-related deaths.
