WEANER prices lifted $80 to $100 a head during the Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange, Carcoar, store cattle sale on Friday.
Supply slipped to 1207 head, but the quality of the predominately weaner yarding reflected the better spring season across the Central Tablelands.
Weaner steers up to 200kg mostly sold from $1160 to $1570 a head.
The 200kg to 280kg weaner steers ranged from $1180 to $2055, and the 280kg to 330kg weights made $1600 to $2110.
The heavier weaner steers tipping the scales at more than 330kg sold from $1020 to $2300.

There were only a few pen of very light weaner heifers (less than 200kg) and they sold from $1090 to $1380.
The 200kg to 280kg weaner heifers ranged from $1160 to $1760, and the 280kg to 330kg weights made $1490 to $1910.
The heavier weaner heifers weighing more than 330kg sold from $1610 to $1900.
Only about 40 yearling steers were offered and weights were variable. They ranged from $1220 for a light Bos Indicus-cross pen to $2350 for some heavy Angus.
Feedlots paid $1960 to $1990 for steers up to 320kg.
Yearling heifers up to 330kg sold from $1700 to $1790 and those from 330kg to 400kg ranged from $1785 to $1950.
A pen of Angus heifers, 320kg to 400kg, were bought by a feedlot for $1880.
One pen of yearling heifers tipping the scales at more than 400kg sold for $1960.
A few medium weight pregnancy-tested-in-calf heifers sold for $1420, while PTIC cows sold for $2820.
Unjoined cows were also hard to find and most sold for $1050 to $1600.
Cows with young calves attracted bids from $3000 to $4325 and females with older calves were in demand and sold from $3425 to $4200.
