Hailing from Victoria, the Southport stud have swept the floor in the Sydney Royal Hampshire Downs ring, taking out grand champion ribbons for both the ram and ewe classes.
The Tarradale outfit impressed judge Reece Webster, who commented that each of the winners were "exceptionally true to type."
Speaking on his champion ram, Mr Webster said the sire had "a tremendous head, great spine and growth throughout," while the winning ewe was "very hard to fault."
"She's got a tremendous top line, nice moderate frame and she's a very early maturing ewe," he said.
"I think she's going to breed some exceptional progeny for this stud."
Southport stud principal Michael Hawk said it was his first time attending Sydney Royal and after only breeding sheep for five years, he was stoked with the outcome.
"I can't be anything but surprised and happy with the result," he said.
"It's my first time at a Royal show and it's been a very good experience, so I'm really hoping to come back next year."
When asked why he chose Hampshire Downs, Mr Hawke said he was attracted to their longevity and growth, qualities which were very typical of the heritage breed.
"A fast growing lamb and a low birth weight is what we aim for, and with the Hampshires, it's the eating quality and marbling in the meat that stands out," he said.
"Personally I go for trouble free sheep that will have longevity. I don't want to grow a ram out too fast, I want him to last, and I've got ewes that are still going out to the ram that are ten or eleven years old and they're still productive.
"It's a heritage breed that has been around a long time and it's very important to keep those heritage breeds relevant. They've stood the test of time and we really don't want to lose them. "
Henty based stud, Jurambula Hampshire Downs, secured ribbons for both the reserve champion for both the ram and ewe.
Jurambula stud also claimed the trophy for the Peter Taylor Group award.
