Yamba Angus
Stud principal, Brian Powell felt it was a great day and well worth being open.
There was a lot of interest in not only the bulls but also the show team and the replacement heifers.
With 18 of 38 bulls offered on the day, they were sold before lunch with over 30 visitors from Warialda, Tamworth, Wagga, Clarence Town, Oberon, Bathurst, Euchuca Victoria and some locals taking home bulls.
Goondoola Red Angus
The Powe family from Goondoola Red Angus enjoyed showing visitors their draft of yearling bulls, autumn calvers and cows that will start calving from the end of August on.
Interest was sparked in four 2019-drop heifer calves sired by their own home bred sire Goondoola New World N03, who was the reserve junior champion bull at the 2018 Sydney Royal Show, and upcoming yearling bulls that are pencilled in for the 2020 Red Angus and Simmental National Show and Sale.
Renowned donors Goondoola Miss D G02 and her dam, BST Tullatoola Robin's Doll C104, were also on display.
Gilmandyke Angus
Over 30 visitors attended Gilmadyke's annual open day that falls just before their sale on the 29th August.
Stud adviser, Jack Newham was very happy with the numbers that attended their day. He was pleasantly surprised considering the ongoing conditions.
There were both agents, return buyers and new potential buyers enjoy the hospitality that is renown at the stud.
Dalwhinney Angus
A number of other visitors attended the open day to view the predominantly AI & ET progeny of leading sires such as Millah Murrah Hector, Baldridge Command, Quaker Hill Dead Center, VAR Legend and Clooney Range Legend.
