Already we’ve seen some drama at Cowra – or not seen it, as it were – with former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce pulling out of the event yesterday

Newly re-elected Nationals chairman Bede Burke acknowledged the Barnaby drama during his opening address.

There’s already been another budget drop – Deputy Premier John Barilaro announcing there will be another $40 million spend to seal the last 200km of the Cobb and Silver City Highways – taking the total spent to $130m since 2011.

That’s on the back of Wednesday’s drought announcement, and Thursday’s reveal of Ag Science sending.

Mr Barilaro also outlined plans to focus on youth and rural mental health, and youth unemployment “to protect the next generation”
